As an urban landmark for the Harewood Quarter this residential high rise creates a sculptural vision for the Eastern part of Leeds’ inner city centre. Completing the new square at the beginning of Leeds’ Headrow, the building forms a strong and unique identity which contributes to the public realm and the ambience of Harewood Quarter. Driven by the need for overall economies of scale and repetition, the building utilizes a highly efficient and repetitive floor plan, while the façade adds vertical articulation through slight changes in balcony geometries from floor to floor. This articulation of the facade allows for a unified structure while enabling a stratified and dynamic sculptural expression, responding to the varying apartment sizes and a great visibility of the residential tower from close and afar.
