Eel Lido is a commercial and residential development on the site of a currently derelict swimming pool in the metropolitan area of London. The project proposes a regional destination for fine dining and entertainment with sweeping river views and incorporates a public park with playground and bathing areas as an integral part of the development. By creating a complex landscape of artificial topography, the project combines large commercial floor plates and high residential densities without loosing the open character of the site. 140 car parking space as well as 10 restaurant units are designed under the rising green park that folds upwards from the river promenade. Eight Buildings of varying scale are located within the park, from slender town villas at the front to maisonettes and larger blocks of flats towards the rear.
